Finding a captain/guide can be a stressful and time-consuming process. Researching local captains online, checking reviews, sending emails, making calls, etc. Listed below are captains and guides Ive fished with that I would highly recommend. Man I love fishing with these two guys. I've learned so much from both of them, with tons of fish and laughs along the way.

Captain Bou Bosso-One fishy guy, Bou is a extremely passionate, knowledgeable and experienced captain. Born and raised in the area so no matter the conditions he can find the fish. Great teacher, sense of humor and very patient. After just a few days of fishing with him I consider him a good friend. Make sure to book a day anytime your in the Keys and check him out on the first couple seasons of Silver Kings.

Captain Bryce Gabriel- My man, so many good times in his skiff. Great attitude, sense of humor and communication. Very easy going and extremely hard working. Bryce will works his tail off to find the fish. Get ready to catch fish, learn and laugh.
LUNKER DOG
Love fishing with Captain Jeff on my annual trip to the Keys. There's just something about trolling hog legs (big mullet)Â behind the boat and wondering what might crush it at any second. Make sure to bring your fly rod along for the dock lights and if the jacks are crashing bait. Jeff's born and raised in the area and is extremely passionate about the fishery and protecting it.
MANGROVE OUTFITTERS
My first evening/night dock light trip was with Captain Cody. What a amazing trip, landed 7 different species on my fly rod. Great captain who is very easy going, great teacher and very fishy. Knows the area like the back of his hand and where the fish are at all times.
LEE GUIDE COMPANY
Had a couple amazing days with Captain Casey chasing tarpon and snook on the fly. Chokoloskee is an amazing place that everyone should check out. Casey is extremely easy going and will work hard to have you in the best spots.
MOUNTAIN 2 MANGROVES
Captain Adam Skaggs is one of the fishiest dudes I know. From fly rod to spinning rod, Montana to the Keys he catches fish. Great attitude, sense of humor and tons of knowledge. He's also a great teacher and will have you rolling in laughter. Book a day anytime your in the Keys.
SIGHT FISH CHARTERS
I took a half day shark trip with Captain Scott and had a blast. Had us on sharks right away and in no time I caught my first shark on the fly. Very easy going guy with great communication and knows the area very well. From fly to light tackle he has you covered.
EVOLUTION FISHING
I took my very first tarpon trip with Captain Guitou and everything changed after that trip. We fished for 3 days and I saw laid up tarpon, stings of tarpon and got lucky and hooked up to one of those huge migrating tarpon. The eat, the power, the jumps, everything blew my mind and a new passion was created. Gouitou has a great attitude, sense of humor and will work very hard to find the fish.
NORTH MARSH GUIDE CO
I took my first redfish trip with Captain Tony and had a amazing trip. The tides and water clarity didn't cooperate but he still had my on fish and quickly caught my first redfish on the fly. Tony is a great guy, teacher, very experienced and knows the marsh like the back of his hand. Tony also is the guy that got my gears turning about tarpon/permit fishing and told me to head to Florida next, thanks for the tip buddy.
LOWER KEYS KAYAK FISHING
I took my very first kayak fishing trip with Captain Randy and had a blast catching tarpon and bonefish. Great guy to fish with and I learned a ton about fishing from a kayak. Randy knows the area very well and works very hard to get you in the right spots. He has a great attitude, communication and I really enjoyed our conversations on the water. He uses native kayaks that are fully setup with anchor systems, cooler, push pole, paddle and more. Felt comfortable standing and casting and only got the wobbly legs a few times. Loved being able to land and release the fish I caught on my own. Make sure to book a day or two anytime your in the Florida Keys.
LOUISIANA
LOUISIANA FLY FISHING CHARTERS
Mother nature threw everything at us for a few days and Captain Greg had no issues finding the big bull reds. What a amazing place and a great guy to fish with. Greg's very easy going,  is a great teacher and has a very positive attitude. Can't wait to get back down there.
PUERTO RICO / CULEBRA
TFLY CULEBRA FISHING CHARTER
Captain Antonio knows Culebra like the back of his hand and knows where his kids are at all times. Amazing couple days chasing permit, tarpon and bonefish from his boat or wade fishing some amazing flats. Great communication, attitude and all around great guy to spend a day in the boat with.
BACKWATER TARPON FISHING CHARTERS
Make sure to book a trip with Captain Cleary anytime your in San Juan. Great way to start or end your Puerto Rico vacation. Chris had me on tarpon within minutes from leaving the ramp. Great communication and positive attitude. Just be prepared for the heat and drink lots of water. Amazing tarpon and snook fishing in the lagoon.

Reach out to Trevor or his dad Kit anytime you're in the Helena area. These guys are born in raised in the valley and have some many amazing trips available. We did a group trip on gates of the mountains and had a blast pitching jigs and stillwater nymphing with the fly rods. Absolutely crushed the rainbows that day and lost a big walleye.
